SPECIAL Edition Creative Postcard: Featuring a Live Chat and a Gorgeous Art Gallery Show Below

A recording from Natasha's live video

Hello you, gorgeous creative!

We’ve got some extra special things for you today.

Inspired by Anne Tabor’s essay, Wear the Damn White Pants”, Jen and I began our conversation today talking about what it means to question rules and stop saving things for special occasions because the special occasion is right now, it’s this day we get to live. In fact, I wore the Spiffy and Splendid earrings I normally save for special occasions and I felt fabulous.

We extend an invitation at the end of the call to make every day special in some small way this week and let your creative voice come through as you move through your everyday tasks from problem-solving to cooking.

Art Gallery Showing

On our last call, Jen and I - along with some of our beautiful community members -came up with a challenge to create anything you like - fairy houses were mentioned - as long as it was a piece that somehow incorporated Nature and materials that brought you joy. What follows is a gallery featuring each creator’s gorgeous work.

Second Nature Studio

When you step inside Second Nature Studio founded by Kim, an artist whose attention to detail is exquisite, you will find “Art Nurtured by Nature.” This stunning 8 x 8 embroidered painting is an exceptional example of that as it was inspired by dandelion fluff.

To view more of Kim’s work or just send along a little love, pop over to Second Nature Studio.

Sue Mimm

Sue Mimm is an incredible Nature-lover who is also a fan of fairies which were mentioned on our call.

Sue said, “Interestingly, today before I saw your video on Substack I decided to step out of my comfort zone and just intuitively create something in my junk journal which I haven’t touched in ages. It’s definitely nature inspired, as is almost everything I create. Oh and it has gold glitter too! I’m actually not a fan of glitter, but somehow it showed up when I was looking for my gesso, so I decided to “go for it”.”

So happy that Sue went for it as well. From the soft, welcoming colors to the heartfelt words and the note tucked into this beauty, this piece is pure inspiration.

V.e.e’s Space

Vee is an Intuitive and Transformational Coach who creates spaces for people to connect with themselves, realign with their inner world, and live with intention.

One of her magical talents is creating art the same way she lives her life - with passion and heart. This fairy house is a perfect example of those qualities. There is even a note hidden inside which feels symbolic as her work centers on being in touch with the unique messages within each of us.

To experience more of the magic of V.e.e or just say hello, take a trip to over to V.e.e's Space.

Jeniffer Hutchins

Jeniffer Hutchins is not only my weekly Creative Postcard partner-in-all things creative, she’s the creator of Creative Spirit Living and founder of Unity Arts. With an exceptional eye for capturing the color and unforgettable beauty of Nature, she not only delights one’s creative spirit, she reminds you of the joy to be found in this world.

In this work, Jeniffer invites you to step into the world around her and marvel at the show Nature is putting on for us all. This breathtaking piece inspires both wonder and tremendous peace.

To experience more of Jeniffer’s lovely work or leave her a little note, take a stroll on over to Jeniffer Hutchins.

Natasha’s Painted Stories

My amazing friend, Kim, had given me a creative challenge which was to go “Flooraging” (love that term). Find an object on the ground either man or Nature made and create a scene with it. And so I combined that challenge with this one and created using a piece of blue glass I found on the beach. I could not decide what to make so I made two scenes. Counting sheep made me laugh our loud.

Thank you from both Jen and I for all who participated in making art. From those who shared to those who preferred not to, please know we love you all for creating with us.

To those who joined us live on our call, it’s always a pleasure to connect and to all those who will listen, we are so happy you are here and hope you enjoy.

Until next time, create and celebrate your awesomeness.

Love and cartwheels,

Natasha and Jen
